Timeline depends on the size and complexity of the project. A standard living room or bedroom typically takes one to two days. A full interior repaint of a home can range from three to seven days. We'll give you a realistic timeline in your written quote so you can plan accordingly.

Proper prep is where quality painting begins. For interiors, we cover and protect your flooring, furniture, and fixtures, fill nail holes and cracks, sand surfaces where needed, and apply primer when required. For exteriors, we power-wash the surface, scrape any peeling areas, caulk gaps, and apply primer before painting.

Our workmanship warranty covers defects related to application — including peeling, bubbling, or adhesion failures that result from our work, not from pre-existing structural issues or normal wear. We use premium paints that also carry manufacturer warranties. If something isn't right, we'll make it right — just contact us and we'll come take a look.

With proper preparation and premium paint products, most exterior paint jobs in Northern California last 7 to 10 years or more. Factors like sun exposure, surface material, and climate can affect longevity. We select paints with excellent UV and weather resistance to maximize the life of your project.

For most wood fences in Northern California, we recommend restaining every 2 to 4 years depending on the wood type, stain product used, and how much sun and weathering the fence receives. A semi-transparent stain applied correctly typically provides excellent protection for 3–5 years. We can assess your specific fence during the estimate.

Yes. Milestone Painting is fully licensed and insured to operate as a painting contractor in California. We carry general liability insurance and are happy to provide proof of coverage upon request. Hiring a licensed and insured contractor protects you, your property, and our team.

We ask that you clear out smaller, fragile, or valuable items ahead of time for your peace of mind. For larger furniture, our team can help move pieces away from walls and will cover everything thoroughly before we begin. We handle every home with the same care we'd want in our own.
